50s rounded neck
Hey guys Im just curious what a 50s rounded neck meant. Does this refer to a larger 58 neck or the thinner 59 neck. I have smaller hands and have always prefered a 60s slim taper neck but the Gibson tradtional and traditional plus have this rounded 50s neck. Will this be okay for my mediumish-small hands.... thanks for all the help in advance

Re: 50s rounded neck
The Traditional '50's necks are bigger than last years model.
I've always liked a '60's neck. I have small hands. But I've been playing my friends Trad and got used to the bigger neck. To me a neck size doesn't really matter. |

Re: 50s rounded neck
Probably because it takes more time and more sanding so the majority of necks that come out of the Gibson factory are 50's.

Re: 50s rounded neck
Think of the 60's neck productions as lefty LP productions.

Re: 50s rounded neck
Either that or everyone in the world has small hands and are all buying up the 60's necks first.

Re: 50s rounded neck
I think I'm the only person on this forum that doesn't have a neck preference. Lucky me I could go with any LP I liked. I think it's because I trained my hand with a '59 neck.
