V!n, do you have a link for the source of that picture? I don't see any official announcement with details of the real guitar, only speculation and rumor in a thread over at the Gibson forum.

That's Bucketheads actual guitar, it's facepalm worthy enough on its own. I couldn't find any pictures with the upcoming sig, but I reckon it will be somewhat like this one.

I think Gibson will miss some the key things that truly make it like the actual Butthead Les Paul and rather go for something loosely based on it to keep the costs down low. Getting the hardware and pickup covers powdercoated is probably too expensive, not to mention getting other things that they don't stock, such as a different killswitch and the white stormtroopers head knob.
I'm expecting a White Les Paul Custom without inlays and BFG style wiring.

btw V!N, that knob you mention isn't a skull and crossbones, it's a stormtroopers head. Personally I think that guitar is pure sex.

That guitar looks like it will take less effort to copy. Do you think they'll get white Dimarzio pickups or just solder some chrome covers on whatever they have in stock ?

The real one is 26" scale. NOT easy to copy, and limited in it's appeal.

I'm probably the Minority... i like it.. i think it's pretty cool. It's like my 3 year old behind the wheel of a Ferrari.. I wouldn't know what to do with it but make it sound like sh#t..

He's a big dude, he's got a larger scale guitar as far as I know... I doubt they'd reproduce it's proper scale, which really defeats a signature guitar doesn't it? I'm surprised Brian Carroll would actually have his own signature guitar, seems to go against his mystique and all.

I guess I forgot that part...there's no way they can make it to his scale... the only people able to play it would be in the NBA I believe, and I don't know how many guitar players/buckethead fans are in the NBA.

Yeah they can. It's a similar scale length to the Les Paul Baritone model sold a few years back. Plus it would open up quite a few de-tuning options.

As far as I can tell everthing on that guitar is the same size as a normal les paul. He's 6'6". It looks like a Les Paul in the hands of someone that tall. I've also heard it's 24 frets. Count them. Lots of BS about his guitars. Its just an even more customized Custom.
