Custom 77 Cherry SB

Got myself 1 more custom from 1977. Plays really nice and all seem correct except for the missing Made in USA stamp. There is a small volute and the serial number and pots points to 1977. Maybe they sometimes skip the made in USA during the wild Norlin process. The neck pick up is original patented Gibson but the bridge has been replaced. I can't identify it. Also, it came with an extra pick up which I also couldn't identify. Any ideas? As a whole, I'm very happy with it. It's in very good condition considering its age. It had a re-fret job, Grover tuners, tone pro bridge and stop tail all in chrome and chrome PU covers. I even got all the old gold plated parts. I'd appreciate if any one here can help identify the PU's and say why there isn't the made in USA stamp. Thanks.

Re: Custom 77 Cherry SB

I dunno - those are some funky lookin pickups! The one that's installed looks like it had a cover soldered on after the fact - that doesn't look like a factory solder job. I'm curious, did they re-bind the neck after re-fretting?

Re: Custom 77 Cherry SB

Yea, the covers were changed from gold to chrome as all the rest of the hw. The fret nibs are gone when the frets were done.
