yeah i guess the changed to guitar of the month so they can make more and focus on design. I think we'll see cooler things this year.

Great news.
I'm hoping this year Gibson experiments a bit more with types of guitars. The last year was like Solidbody Slab of the week . Lets see an acoustic and a hollow body of some sort.

I'm glad it worked out so they implemented it in another year. Kudos Gibson.
Just hoping for a bit more variety than the reworked solidbodies we saw every week last year.

So far the SG Diablo, looks completely Badass. Hopefully it sounds as good as it looks.

Nice color and I dig the gold hardware.
I read the specs though and I'll pass. I like my SGs to have the slim neck profile, the Diablo has a 50's round neck.
I like my R9's round neck, but prefer thin fast necks on my SGs and semihollows too.
Currently I'm SGless, so I'm scanning.

Yeah i'm suprised it looks like they actually changed the beveling on the body. Id like to see that one in jet black too with chrome hardware.

i think Guitar of the Month will have more substance.... allows more time to develop a really cool design as decoy205 said...

the SG Diablo looks sweet indeed! Burstbuckers! plus that body profile/beveling and semi-arched top are sexy!!! nitro finish...

kinda pricey but i guess that's expect with a Monthly release - the models will be that much more special and unique i think...

But I really wish they would try to be a little
more reasonably priced. I know, I know, it's a Gibson
& they aint cheap! But, damn guys, a brother
only has so much $ to spend!

yeah really. If Im gonna spend that much on an axe its going to be something proven and reliable. What I liked about the old program was they were affordable more or less. oh well, it will be fun to see the new products.

Looks like something a low end manufacturer would make that resembles an SG.
