Re: the official Les Paul Traditional love thread
Did you notice differences between the various trad you own (except the color of course..) Are the necks different? do they all weight the same?

Re: the official Les Paul Traditional love thread
I've had three now with weights all over the place. The last GT I had must have been > 11 lbs because when I got my HB it felt really light in comparison and it's verified at 9.45 lbs.

Re: the official Les Paul Traditional love thread
Hey guys!
So tomorrow is THE day. I'm going to a store here in Sweden to try out a bunch of LP Traditionals. Hopefully I will take one of them home. I talked to the store today and they have 1 HCS, 1 Honey burst, 1 gold top, 2 black as well as a couple of Standards. I'm pretty much set on a Traditional but it can be useful to try a Standard for comparison. Do you guys have any tips for trying them, anything special I should look for? Can't wait for tomorrow! Mike |

They sound different for sure. I can't comment with the DB yet as I only had it plugged in once and still have the stock pups. But when trying the same pups back and forth between the GT and HC I can tell you the HC has a deeper tone with a little more growl.

Re: the official Les Paul Traditional love thread
It's just perfect.
If I was to buy a second les paul it would have to be the same. How can you call this top? that's the kind of figure i love most. ![]() good choice for the jack plate and knobs. it looks great!

Re: the official Les Paul Traditional love thread
I LOVE my Traditional. I just put in a set of custom hand wound PAFs from a company called WCR, and now this baby really sings. I absolutely love the neck profile. I am hesitant to leave for college because i know i have to leave this baby behind.

Re: the official Les Paul Traditional love thread
I've got another picture in my album if you want to check that out. I'll have to take some more tomorrow for you. As far as HB or LB debate I was between the same. To me in person the honeyburst looked too much like honey while the light burst looked more like a light cherry burst to me. Obviously the honey burst will look like honey but I think the honeyburst looks very different in person then what it looks like online.
