Silverburst Studio

Just saw this whilst perusing Musician's Friend:

Buy Gibson Les Paul Studio Silverburst Electric Guitar | Solid Body Electric Guitars | Musician's Friend

Chambered mahogany body with a maple top and mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, 50's neck profile, 490R/498T pickups, and coil splits for $1299.99.

Not a huge silverburst fan, but I have to admit that this is one tempting beast.

It is full of win. I may have to get one w/ the proceeds from my Laney stack when it sells... Too many decisions in life...

Re: Silverburst Studio

I'm not a fan of silverbursts at all, but there's something about this Studio I like. Maybe it's the silverburst finish without the bindings, yeah, I think that's it. Looks better to me without the binding. Nice LP for $1299.

Re: Silverburst Studio

i dont usually like the perimeter silverburst, but the studio looks great, maybe beacuse ofthe lackof binding, it keeps the guitar more clean looking i guess. looks cool.

Unhappy Re: Silverburst Studio

So is it a VERY GOOD guitar? because this is my 2nd guitar i just got it this weekend, it should arrive on Thursday...Is it a very good guitar? im just worried is all because sometimes people get a bad guitar like it might be broken sometimes or sound horrible....
I'm really scared T_T
I hope I made the right choice buying this as my 2nd guitar ever after having a B.C. Rich Warlock (Bronze Series)...

Re: Silverburst Studio

Correct me if I'm wrong but with a Silver Burst studio you see no wood grain so you could get a 4 piece top and 5 piece back, couldn't you. I like everything else abour it however.

Silverburst with a proper ebony fretboard, '60s neck, push/pull pots, and reflectors? Yes, please.

Re: Silverburst Studio

I just bought a Gibson Les Paul Studio Silverburst as my second Guitar ever.
its gonna arrive here in like 3 or 2 days maybe.
I hope its worth it and its not all broken or something.... I'm really worried...I hope its in GREAT condition....No scratches or jammed pieces or easily breaking/breakable head stock piece....or bad strings on it....or the finish rubbing off easily....I'M REALLY WORRIED NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dude dont be worried.. just like any object built by human hands there will be some that are sub-par. the fact is that the vast majority of them will be just fine. if you happen to have one of the very few that is not up to standard, just send it back for another. the odds of you getting 2 that are not all that great are pretty low.

Re: Silverburst Studio

I ordered one on Thursday ...should be here tomorrrow.

I had no interest in this guitar at all until I stumbled across one at Guitar Center .... I was actually impressed (1. it wasn't beat to hell as usual at GC, 2. it looked and sounded great) however it wasn't on sale there, so I ordered one from MF on SALE.....

The beauty is if it's a turd when it arrives I can send it back, no questions asked ..... however if it's as nice as the one I played a GC that won't be an issue .....
