i would rather
a) buy a new R7/8
b) a used R9
c) a used R7/R8 and an amp
d) spend a few hundred dollars to replace the pickups/pots in my current LP for a coil tap.

and yet you seem to think yours are somehow more important?

merely pointing out the fact that paying 3k for a guitar that has a belly scoop and a coil tap is kinda silly. for that kind of cash, there are better options.
