Which of These 90s Artists Deserves a Signature LP The Most?

This is just a poll out of curiousity, since I am a huge 90s grunge guy. All of these artists are/were big LP users in their heyday and even today.

I voted Stone Gossard. He was my childhood hero, and he wrote some of the most famous 90s grunge riffs, such as Even Flow (which is now EXTREMELY popular thanks to Guitar Hero), but what do you guys think?

Here are some good shots of the LPs:
Stone:

Jerry:

Dean:

That's a good one, but I'm mainly talking about artists with that "Seattle sound", aka Grunge.

I voted none of the above. The whole business of handing out signature guitars willy nilly dilutes it to the point where it has no meaning whatsoever. Okay, for me it's too late for that -- I wouldn't buy a guitar based on a "signature" model for anything, but perhaps if your musical experience is ultra narrow that kind of thing would appeal. I'm sorta tired of the practice.

Adam Jones if he was into that sort of thing...

Seriously though.....these guys right here. (SPECIFICALLY Kim Thayil of Soundgarden) It would probably be an SG....but it was a nice, heavy tone....

(and hey, if the dumb bastards ever decided to reunite, it would be a great sig to coincide with the event!)

Like you said, if Kim ever had a sig model, it'd be a Guild S-100. I'm just pinpointing artists with LPs because after all...this is My LES PAUL forums

How many could be sold? If there is no market, there is no signature model.

Yeah....well...funny thing....I suppose you could do a Gossard LE...I dunno man....Pearl Jam just wasn't my favorite as far as bands. I'd love to see an
Cantrell Lester, but AIC is pretty much dead. I heard that Stone Temple Pilots were gonna reunite, but what happened with that? (That would have been a great time to roll a Deleo LE sig...coinciding with the band's triumphant return!)

I love all of those bands with the exception of Pearl Jam. They never did anything for me. It was a wonderful time to be alive in those days. Reminds me of being a lot younger and a lot dumber.

Pearl Jam is my favorite band, next to The Who. But it seems people either like Pearl Jam or they don't. I have trouble finding people who are on the fence about them.

Oh, I'm sure it works the other way around. Yes, I'm older. Did I get any smarter? Wiser maybe.

Re: Which of These 90s Artists Deserves a Signature LP The Most?

Stone's a pretty underrated guitarist. Players from the 90's generally get panned over as part of the "Grunge Era", which is associated with less-than-spectacular players such as Kurt Cobain (writing ability be damned). Guys like SG and Kim Thayil tend to go unnoticed, but those guys are a BIG reason why their groups were fucking phenomenal live.

Seriously, how many groups sound like their LP cranked to 11 in person? Pearl Jam embodied that for many years. "Alive" is the first song I learned from start to finish and I still know every note by heart some 15 years later. Well written, powerful, guttural, and just damn fun to play from start to finish

Jerry Cantrell
one of the most underrated guitarists of all time
it would be about time he gets honored.

Have to agree with you. I think his sig will be a Dean though. That's the rumor these days. Wish it were an LP though, would love to see that.

There actually was a Duane model. Wish they would do it again. I'd provide a link but am running outm
Just saw Duane's real LPs at the RnR HOF museum and I'd love to get my hands on the Gibson model now.
