I don't think he would agree. First of all he mostly play Fenders. Second I think he only plays vintage guitars.

But I agree. John Frusciante is an underrated guitar player.

Seriously though.....these guys right here. (SPECIFICALLY Kim Thayil of Soundgarden) It would probably be an SG....but it was a nice, heavy tone....

+1 ~ I really dig that Soundgarden sound still to this day!

Got to break it to ya, bud. That's Jerry Cantrell's LP that's blue. Dean's LP in the pic is actually black, just the stage lighting makes it look weird.

I droped of the face of the planet when it came to "popular" music....I basically lived in the jazz world and the 90s had a lot of happening jazz going on.....I did vote for dean only because everytime I see a blue epi I wish there was a blue LP.

I'd say Dean Deleo. But instead of a standard or custom, I say make it the Special that he played quite often.

Not sure the name of the color but it was kinda a yellow to black burst. If Billie Joe from Green Day can have a signature Junior and Joan Jett a signature Melody Maker, then why not a Deleo Special....besides that Bob Marley special was just godawful ugly IMO.

Re: Which of These 90s Artists Deserves a Signature LP The Most?

Dean DeLeo and his brother Robert DeLeo (great bassist) are both bad-ass musicians and amazing songwriters. They came up with some of the heaviest riffs this side of Zeppelin and Rush. Lots of riffs, like Silvergun Superman, Meatplow, Down, Hollywood Bitch, Heaven and Hot Rods, etc. Heavy, tasty, slick guitar riffs and hooks. STP was consistently hot shit right up through Shangri-La-De-Da. After that Weiland kinda lost some of his edge IMO.

and,as Bole said....Pearl Jam did nothing for me ,really
