Re: sweet Lester tone/solo

guys, some of you may not agree with me BUT THEY JUST DONT DO IT LIKE THAT ANYMORE! The feeling, the simplicity, working their equipment to control their sound... the tone, the vibrato, standing w/ his amp to control sustain/feedback. I am old school and proud of it!

Re: sweet Lester tone/solo

He played tastefully and was never afraid to let a song 'breathe', for want of a better expression. Wasn't so hot on his knowledge of chords though; Andy Fraser had to help him there.

Paul Rogers vocals are no slouch either. Check him out playing "mike" guitar! What a band. I listen to Fire & Water and Highway at least once a week. Fantastic stuff that will never die.

Re: sweet Lester tone/solo

Yeah I've watched that video many times!! It made me realize how FREE had some really cool stuff besides "Alright Now".

That perfomance is brilliant I think. All four of 'em are spot on!!

I love that old school classic rock guitar tone!!! And I love the bass tone on there as well!!
