How Do The New Controls Work??

I feel like an idiot asking this question, considering I do own the guitar. However, I am not convinced I really understand the relationship between the two volume controls and the pup selector switch on my '08 Classic Antique.

I would like to have the old style where one volume pot controlled one pup. Is there a kit available to rewire to the old setup?

I'm sure this has been explained countless times, but I wasn't able to find it with a search.
