Les Paul Deluxe 1982 - Bridge screws?

Just bought a pretty min 82 LP Deluxe

The saddle screws need one circlip and a screw needs replacing.....any ideas? It ain't a bridge I've seen before, apart from one on a The Paul from about 81, notice no through holes like an ABR or Nashville.

That's the bridge they came up with to make production problems easier to fix. It has three spots on either side to settle it on the bridge posts, so that you have more or less travel for intonation. Just the thing if the neck was installed too far back or too far forward.....

Get a Nashville and put it on there, all you have to do is unscrew the height adjusters and drop on the new bridge posts and bridge.

Get a proper guard while you are at it, mister!

I was gonna say most of the same thing... except I'd say just take the pickguard off! Goldies rock!

I've actually had a set of posts made so I can use an old faber ABR-1 I have, but for value purposes and resale value, I'd like to refurb the original as these are getting to silly value over here now and the more original the better, yes strangely despite clocking everything, I only noticed the guard once I opened the case, it has been replaced with a suitably pale replacement

Try a hobby shop that does model trains, they have those circlips.
