Neck profile comparison....
I'm looking for a visual comparison of the Gibson neck profiles...a cross section diagram would be awesome.....I know how both feel, more or less....but would like to see the difference...kind of like Warmoth does with their replacement neck profiles on their web site

Re: Neck profile comparison....
When I went to puchase last year, I looked and could not find any, Warmoth does a nice job. I just went to the local music store to actually see and feel the difference. I personally went with the 50's, It very comfortable in my hands. I am not a speed player.

Re: Neck profile comparison....
Hmm I dunno , they dont look like either my Gibson and or my Orville's neck Profile, the later is somewhere inbetween the two but definitly both are more rounded

Re: Neck profile comparison....
I wish I was a famous guitar player....I'd have a tobacco burst Les paul with a hard V shape......kinda 50's strat ish....but in the standard mahogany with a satin back and neck and a slightly faded top.....perfection....

Re: Neck profile comparison....
You could send your guitar to Roman or Greg and one or either could probably re shape your neck for you that way

Re: Neck profile comparison....
When I first tried the LP Traditional I thought the neck was like a baseball bat. Then I played one of the SGs, came back to the Traditional and it felt pretty good. What profile is the Traditional?
