What are you, a little girl? Oh man, this 10 pound guitar is too much for me! How will I rock out with my cock out with this heavy guitar around my neck? I can't stage dive off my full stack with anything heavier than six pounds! What was Gibson thinking!
Lurko and michaelinokc like this.

Just wish you had the choice of chrome or gold on all customs... not a fan of gold at all..

Looks like a nice one. You need to color correct the photos, though. It's hard to tell what color the guitar actually is.

They used to say the unique chemical makeup of the paint affected the tone and made it dark...the fools didnt realize it had different pot ratings...thats why the tone of the new ones are ALL WRONG!

Yeah I've explained this in great detail in the Silverburst Myth thread in the Norlin section.

It's my favorite. But only on a Custom. Actually the Thunderhorse looks good too.

I like weird finishes and have to say a worn Silverbiest Custom would be the shizz for me. It would rule. Hard.

What do you think this is, 4chan? Didn't your mama teach you to talk better than that?

Also, apparently there was a silverburst custom on TDPRI that looked to be in mint condition for--wait for it--$1200. About a week ago, I believe. I actually can't stand silverbursts but at that price I'd be all over it.

Re: The Les Paul Silverburst: The 59 LP of Generation X

I could like silverbursts more if so many of them weren't clownbursts. On the other hand, there was the silverburst Standard a few years ago, or the silverburst Classic Custom of special runs . . .

Looks better as a rimburst than the Custom clownbursts . . .

I was just going to come on and post 'I dont get it....its just a finish? (which I dont like) there is going to be no tonal difference over a regular custom in another colour?...there were many things that made a 59 special but this is just a colour change'....and then I read your post and am now glad I didnt post ha ha .....although surely a pot change in any custom in another colour would achieve this?

I like it on everything, but I'm not obsessive enough to get in on everything. My RD would have been a different color if one had been available.
