Turtle Wax "Express Shine" on your guitar!?

The Taylor Guitar website has some very interesting videos on guitar making and maintenance. Last night, as I was watching one specific video on guitar maintenance, I was shocked to hear that the tech was recommending to use Turtle Wax "Express Shine" to polish the guitar!!??

He even says that it works particularly well on a satin finish. The exact quote is "...if this was a satin guitar, I would really suggest the Turtle Wax".

Is this madness or what? I'm curious to know what you think. This particular "car" polish is made with carnauba wax. It's the same product we would find on a lot of "guitar" polish. Then again, maybe it's not safe on Nitro finish...

Here's the direct link to the video. Fast forward to 5m 10sec to see the part about the Turtle Wax.

Don't take it near nitro, but car polish works fine on poly

Why is that? Because of cleaner/solvent that the car polish might contain? 100% pure carnauba wax is appropriate for Nitro, right? Again, I'm just curious, I don't think I'll risk ruining my guitar.

I use to use 3M finish glaze on my Les Paul Classics all the time. No problems....
