So here's my favorite Les Paul
I bought this guitar in 1986 from the original owner who got it special order from the factory. His name was Bob Clawson, owner and operator of Clawson's music in Corpus Christi, Texas. I was 17 and worked there at the time he brought it in to sell it. I fell in love with the look and playability. He got is special order b/c he was an authorized Gibson dealer that had sold very well in Texas that year. He got two, actually. I was gonna buy the other one but his wife won't let it go, as she has her name on it and was a Nashville recording artist. She still owns hers. Anyway, here she is. I love her...

Re: So here's my favorite Les Paul
Thanks for all the kind words. I don't know the color. It's not quite Pelham blue, so I couldn't tell you. I've only seen 3: mine, the other one I mentioned with the owner's name on it, and one that Hubert Sumlin was playin' on some jam I caught on TV years ago. I have loved this guitar for a long time. It just looks nice, and plays even better.
Bob

Re: So here's my favorite Les Paul
VERY nice color.
Have you ever considered changing the black speed knobs out for gold top hats? I like it the way it is I just wondered what it would look like with the gold.
