Was wondering if someone can tell me if this is a fake/copy. Black Gibson Les Paul Custom, 3 pickups, gold hardware ser#02005566. Thanks in advance

Here is a link to some pix. The nut looks wrong as well as the deep ser#. Thanks.

the nut is something that can be replaced. If I were you, I'd message a member who knows about these things, rather than make a thread like this. I have a guy I like to ask questions like these to, but I am not sure he'd want me saying his name. There are plenty, though, I am sure you'll find the right one.

Just a scary thought, one of these days, the fake LPs are going to look like the real LPs in terms of shape and proportion; how can we tell?

I read somewhere that Gibson started putting in RFID tags? However, how can a buyer tell if buying off ebay?
