Didn't notice that, but if you add $1775 and $142 it only comes out to $1917. They did charge the GST in the final total, it just isn't in the itemized breakdown for some odd reason.

As far as the price, keep in mind that's $1775 canadian. If you convert it to US dollars, it's $1504!!! For months now I've been plugging that shop for anyone looking to buy who actively asks "where should I buy?". And if you're in the US, you also don't pay tax.

Anyone kicking themselves now?

I don't like the Slash models. I like his Custom Shop signature Tobaccoburst but the Standard and Goldtop, can't stand that silly little Slash drawing on the headstock. Get a '57 Reissue or a Traditional goldtop and stick Duncans in it!

Certainly not, but some people prefer larger necks so I just included that there. The Slash Goldtops are great values, I just like the traditional Les Paul look and the headstock ruins it for me. I love everything else about them.

I didn't necessarily buy because of the Slash thing. I bought it because it was a guitar with the features I liked for a few hundred bucks cheaper than a Standard or a Traditional and a couple thousand cheaper than a '57 reissue.

If the cartoon bugs me that much, I'll put electrical tape over it.

Have you ever seen Les Paul's guitar? It looks nothing like a standard so I wouldn't consider it a signature. That's like saying a Strat is a Leo Fender signature because it has his name on it.
