My first LP: Standard 1980 'as new'
he people,
Just bought my first LP (1300Euro's). It is a Red 1980 Standard and it plays beautifully. The sound on my 100W Engl Souvereign Vintage 112 is just amazing. There are so many great sounds and feeling that can be produced that it is a completely different experience for me....(being a Fender bullet Strat played for 25 years). Can anyone help me with the finish? The seller calls it Cherry Red, but it seems too dark for a cherry red. Is this the Wine Red? Did they produce that on a 1980 Standard? thanks for helping out....

Re: My first LP: Standard 1980 'as new'
Thanks guys! I played her last weekend on stage and it was quite some experience....my playing style and tone etc. all improved quite a bit. Most importantly, I am not spending energy anymore in order to find this great tone.....this guitar just delivers it!! Shocking what a good instrument can do! All in all very satisfied!!

I'm glad I've decided to go for the ebony Standard and not yours. You happy / me happy.
Veel plezier ermee!
