NGD, Custom Pro "Envy"

Alright everyone, sorry for being a tad late on posting this NGD and for not using the prior thread. I haven't been able to put her down for the past 3 days. The coil taps, out of phase, and kill switch "push-pull" pots freakin' rock! Clean with the toggle in the middle position with the neck pup split is sparkly clean magic. On the note of the pickups, the BB2 and BB3 absolutely growl and snarl when distorted but clean up nicely. I ran Envy through the motions at band practice the past two days and she held up phenomenally. The '59 neck profile is absolutely comfortable.
When she arrived at GC I was there for the unboxing, seeing as I ordered her and what not. But they sent her in a Reissue case, which rocks by the way, and I unwrapped all the safety precautions and I was astounded by the top on her. Then I went to play her and the high E was unplayable and the neck coil tap was non-functional. I also discovered two spots on the headstock where the guitar had obviously rested on a non-nitro safe wall hanger and the finish had melted a little. Through these problems I was able to negotiate $500 off, half off of one of the new Gibson straps, free 'locks, and a set of EB Cobalts.
So without further ado, I present to you Envy!

Wow, that's an awesome top! Seems to turn quilted around the toggle switch :O sorry about the problems but I'm glad you got a good deal for it.

Lovely piece(s) of wood.
I wouldn't be able to play it though.
I'd hang it on a wall, so the neighbours could see!

Back shot will be coming shortly as well as pictures without the flash. And yes, the strings are actually green on the DC. They are DR Neons I believe. I love green if ya can't tell.

They are a little more creamy than the previous pictures (damn flash), but here are some pics without flash, Oh and thank you everyone

Not really a fan of the green either but that looks pretty darn good. Double cremes would make it look better imho. HNGD and nice group ya got there.

OMG that looks really nice!! That green color rocks and would look great on stage. Just looks like a mean axe all around. Very nice top and back. Thats great you got a good discount. I got about the same discount since mine had a couple dings on the back. I'd almost rather there be a couple blemishes on a new guitar so you can get a chunk off the price. One of the best green guitars I have ever seen for real.

Thanks man, the blemishes are barely noticeable unless you know what you're looking for. Plus it get gets the initial anxiety of getting a ding out of the way!
