NGD...Goldtop
I actually got it a couple of weeks ago, been gigged with already (Supporting Paul Collins [The Beat, The Nerves] in Australia) last weekend. I Love it! It's my 2nd Trad and was purchased as a backup for my first one bought last year. My first one was bought as a backup for my 1975 Deluxe, I ended up falling in love with the 50's neck and overall feel and sound of my new Trad that my old '75 became the backup!...So to cut a long story short, I sold the '75 and bought another Trad, this time a GT. The second two photos are after I replaced the speed dials with top hats and a plain truss rod cover.
I'm thinking of putting Zebras in it as I love the look of a GT with Zebra's.....but I also really like the sound of the 57 classics. Any suggestions on pups I should buy that are similar to the existing 57's? I don't mind the guitar sounding a little different as I have two of them and would rather them have their own flavour, but it is a backup so I want it sort of blend without issues. |
