missed score on '12 standard, custom copy spotting in BK
So Im working for a little bit in Bangkok. Went for a walk last night and gorged myself on good food (on a stick) and spent a whole $2. Found a little guitar store with a shiny black Gibson Custom hanging up. Checked it out saw the big sticker on the control panel, look at the store owner and say China. She openly addmited it was a Chinese copy for about $500. Today I go to my customer to do a repair, there was second issue that just popped up and was much more critical. The error is no longer under warranty but I fixed it in about 5 minutes. I exited the clean room, went to my key contact, sat down as he looked at me with hope in his eyes. On a piece of paper I write down Gibson Les Paul $2,500 X 30 (thai baut)= 75,000 TB. I said, this is not under warranty, I should not be looking at this without a purchase order... I have my eye on a new guitar and this is the price... what would you say if I could get you back up and running today? He looked at the paper and said OK! Just then his phone rang, it was a technician from the clean room and informed his boss that I already fixed the machine. DAMN! I admitted I was not serious and only joking with him, but he did offer to get me a check... DAMN I wish i wasnt so honest. Eh, my guitar will sound so much better knowing I earned the money myself honestly...

Yes. This all makes sense. I'm so much happier now. Thank you.

Basically he's pissed because his custom does not have an ebony board, and apparently it's chambered.
Also don't worry, thump will be here momentarily to break down every three or four sentences demanding specific criterion to prove that his custom is a Chinese copy.

Re: missed score on '12 standard, custom copy spotting in BK
So, let me make sure I got this straight: your Chinese mom told you that if you clean your room, she'll buy you a Les Paul Custom for $75,000?
Dude, just clean your room, and take the money. You can buy the Les Paul, and get a Dumble with what's left over. |
