LP Studio: Help me identify the color

Hi!

I want to buy a LP Studio in Heritage Cherry Sunburst. I know that Gibson doesn't offer that color any longer but I'm trying to find it in stores that still have it in stock. The problem is that some stores list the model in Faded Maple Top Heritage Cherry Sunburst and some others have it in Heritage Cherry Sunburst. Is it the some color or the "Faded Maple Top" makes it a different one?

Regards,
Rui Santos

Re: LP Studio: Help me identify the color

The Studio's in Heritage Cherry got pretty hard to find late 06,
early 07, then I think they discontinued that finish on the studio. I've never seen one in person.

But, to answer your question, The Faded HCB doesnt look like the standard HCB, hence---faded. it looks faded bright reds and yellows arent there.

Re: LP Studio: Help me identify the color

The faded maple heritage cherry is a satin finish, with black pickguard, black knobs and black accents.

the regular heritage cherry is a full gloss finish on body and neck, and usually comes with creme guard and accents along with gold speed knobs.

the faded models are usually sold only at Guitar center and musicians friend.

good luck.

Re: LP Studio: Help me identify the color

Thanks a lot guys. Got it. I was wondering if the difference I saw on the pictures could be related to camera flash or something. Now I got it.

Re: LP Studio: Help me identify the color

Based on info from the webpage, the "Heritage Cherry" LP Studio is in stock for online orders...

Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar and more Solid Body Electric Guitars at GuitarCenter.com.

I have a "Light Burst" LP Studio that was some kind of "special" finish from Gibson for Music123:

Re: LP Studio: Help me identify the color

Just got an email from Gibson Europe telling that the Studio in Heritage Cherry Sunburst is available from all Gibson dealers. That's kind of odd since Gibson USA told me that it was no longer available. I'll make some call I see if I can place an order for one. Unfortunately Guitar Center and Music123 don't ship to Portugal...

BTW, I love the finish of your LP.

Re: LP Studio: Help me identify the color

I also wanted to get a Heritage Cherry Sunburst Studio last time, but Yorkville canada says that color is only produced for USA.

I guess you could get one from Ebay, but that color is rare now.

Good luck and Welcome to MLP
