I was going to say that it would make a fine bowling ball, but what the heck.

Some people like bowling balls.

Re: Good God, look at this top!

Certainly impressive, but a little too flashy for my tastes. I actually don't really care for quilted maple on LP's. Flame maple is cool, but not so much quilted.

Yeah, I am not a fan of those or other quilt tops. Hell, I don't even like too much flame as I prefer it to be somewhat subtle if possible.

Re: Good God, look at this top!

The Pikey of Les Paul guitars.
I didn't used to like AA tops and above so maybe it will grown on me.
But the inlay.., engraved pup's.., inlay binding.., never will.
That is the guitar that shows up on a quiet beach with it's own 100w stereo, so everyone within five miles can share it's taste in god-awful music as well.
And that's probably gonna be rap!
Eugh!

Is that supposed to be Gibson's attempt at a knock-off of a Chinese knock-off? I guess there was no room left for the dragon inlay?

Re: Good God, look at this top!

The quilt is attractive, although the other features are a bit much for me. I don't mind ornate inlays, but I prefer them to be a bit more understated.
