Thumbs up A Junior's Twang

Lately I find myself more attracted to playing my Junior (I play my electrics acoustically ALOT) because its so twangy, sharp and bright compared to the Standard. Im thinking its the lack of TOM which leads the strings to being uninterupted...I dont know, just a theory.

The strings on it are old too and its still LOUD and jangily.

Anyone else found this? God DAMN I love Juniors!

Re: A Junior's Twang

Its a shame because I really want to make myself go for a new Standard, but the thought of a screaming new P90 Special is just...too hard...

The reemergence of the stop-tail and bar bridge over the past decade shows more than a few agree.

Re: A Junior's Twang

I think it's due to the wraparound bridge AND not having a neck pickup pulling on the strings. It's a great combination. Love it.

Re: A Junior's Twang

Try as I might (and I have really tried, recently), my Les Paul Junior still has preference over either of my Standards.

Re: A Junior's Twang

I think it's the combination of the wrap around bridge and P-90, but I like that spank the Junior gives. You can always slap in a noiseless fralin P-90 if you want a more PAFish tone
