Those are hot. I wish they had stayed with the ebony boards like they did when they first came out, but damn that's sweet!

This one is a 2010...Weren't they still using rosewood on this model in 2010?

I believe it was sometime in 2010 when they switched from ebony to rosewood. I'm guessing yours is a late 2010?

yeap, mine was from March 2010 and has ebony fingerboard.

I got one of these when they first came out with the ebony board. It was my first Gibson and a bit of an impulse. I originally went into Guitar Center planning to buy a Epi Slash Goldtop because they were on clearance. The salesguy put the Silerburst in my hand, and even though I had only been playing for a short time I knew it was really special guitar. It's got the nicest piece of ebony I've seen. It's pitch black in color and has a smoothness like hard maple. It's the best playing guitar I'd own and if I was smart I'd play it more instead of constantly looking for something that looks fancier and plays as well.
