..But if I should be sceptical about this,Yeah,I would also mailed Gibson just to make sure about this,If posible, return it (while the deal is still fresh and the guitar still new), to get a an 100% one !

All my former Gibsons come with 0.10..I must say for the first time,I aint sure about this one (still have the stock`s on),but they feel abit/just as slinky as the 0.9.??..Next time when I put my regular 0.10`s DiAddarios on,I will now for sure !

I don't feel that this affects the playability of guitar, however there is some fretbuzz on the 3 lowest strings (do not think it is connected to this inlay thingy). Maybe it just buzzes because the strings are new.

No,mine have none fret-buzz,and thats how a brand new Gibson should be like. (I never bought or had any brand new Gibson with issues like that)

.. .Seriously,Return it, because of damaged/lousy fret-repair & still buzzes on the 3 first frets--While the deal is, As I said,Still fresh,The chances that you get a new one, should be definitly be on your side..(or they ,the retailers, could on warranty replace all the bad frets by an pro) !

! But thats my opionin ( Or what I would have done Bro.)

I purchased the last CC and the guy working there told me that they will not order anymore simply because Gibson stopped producing them (not sure if true), so there is no way for me to get a new one... Regarding the fretbuzz, I did not notice it in the store but heard it while playing at home. It is not that noticable, so I thought it can be fixed easily by a tech but I will see until Monday...

Nope. When I played it in store everything seemed to be perfect. It is only when I got home I started to notice little things here and there.

First of all thanks a lot for helping ,seriously, really appreciate it) And I have no idea what is wrong lol On my Epi LP Custom I had fretbuzz disappear by itself after some time... Maybe I am just overthinking it too much because I got so obsessed with the Gibby lol But I guess I will take the guitar to the tech on Monday.

-About the "limited"-thing..I really dont now...It could be Gibson stopped producing them, but yet, still the retailers have a "storage/pile" of them worldwide.(Well, their still at the moment on Gibson`s webpage/product-list as we speak)
I see them advertised on the internet several of places locally in my country at the moment right now!..

EpiPenguin: hope it works out--when I first got my CC, I noticed fret buzz from the low E string--all I did was adjust the bridge from the area of the E-string, ta-daaahh, it's gone--plus I needed lower action, too, so it worked out for me, especially when I threw on .09s instead of the stock .10s

Gerry, what fret did you notice it on?..or an open E?
..When you put on lighter gauges,You`ll release the tension of the neck ,so the first frets "will lower itself", abit,..not sure, but anyway,All Les Pauls should be proberably be done a setup from factory with 0.10`s as a standard!

I get fretbuzz on the low E, A, and D... When I play them open it is not that obvious but i fret them, the buzz gets more noticable, but not too serious... And it happens almost on every fret. I am upset lol

Epipenguin,Try put on 0.10 `s ! (to see if the neck get more tension, and the strings will get a little bit more space to the frets, cause of tension,I`ll still suspect these are 0,9`s ..but still not sure!! )

Re: The Les Paul Classic Custom Club!!!

Just FYI, I have also heard/read that Gibson had already stopped producing them. Why, I have no idea as they sure are selling well. Then again, I don't understand much of anything that Gibson does regarding strategy.

I believe they make their guitars in batches. They'll produce certain models for a period of time then they have to retool their production line and produce other models for a certain period of time then retool their production line, etc., etc.,...

I do hope they keep this model because it is just one excellent guitar. However, you can probably bet if they come back to it, it will likely cost a bit more than this production run. Get'em while you can!

Come on over to Classic Custom side!!! It's a great guitar and it would be an excellent addition to go with your Silverburst Custom, especially if you have the 490/498 pickups or anything hotter in that guitar.

I'd totally...if I had $1,900 to spend on one. I'd have to dip into savings again to do that. The Silverburst Custom has 490R/498T pickups. What attracts me to the Classic Custom is two things: A. the paint job (I'd either get the Wine Red or the Gold Top...probably the red) and B. the Classic '57/'57 Plus pickups. The baked maple doesn't bother me, but I'd like a dark one just for looks. If the White one was alpine white instead of cream, I'd jump on that. Besides, I also jonesed for a little while for a Marshall YJM100, but buying one would be stupid. I'm not in a band and I'm on tight finances at the moment.

That is a crack/split in the inlay. It does not affect the guitar's playability, but if it came like that from Gibson, you bet I'd be calling them up. That's a QC issue between them, the shippers, and the dealer. If there's no other obvious damage, then I'd have to assume it happened at the factory during production.

LP Classic Custom finishes are the best for any model line, IMHO! Each one is just top notch. I love the solid color finishes, especially if you can see the wood grain through the finish. Of the burst-style finishes, I think the silver burst, desert burst, and tobacco burst are the best to be had. I like the dark outline and a lighter color within the outline.

The baked maple fretboards rock! Those who whine about it typically have never played one, they're just whining because it's not rosewood. If you ever play one of these maple fretboards you'll see exactly what I mean. I love rosewood, but I prefer the baked maple for this guitar.

I have the 490/498 pickups on my SG, so if I need some real snarl and bight I just put down the LPCC and plug in the SG. For what I like, I can cover every sound/tone I need between the SG's 490/498 and LPCC's Classic 57's.

Hope you get the cracked inlay situation resloved easily.

Sweetwater's site still says there are some colors of the CC supposedly shipping to them the week of 6/24 so it seems that Gibson must not have stopped all production. Looks like the gold top is no longer available though and only the Ebony is in stock and not accounted for.

Yeah, I've noticed that in a LOT of people who frequent not only the My Les Paul forum, but the Marshall Amp forum as well. People will watch a crappy YouTube video and immediately denounce an amp/guitar/app/whatever and troll the boards, constantly putting down something that they've never held, never tried, and never actually put through its paces.

Wow, that sounds a lot like the vast majority of American voters too. Hmmmm...

I like to keep an open mind on something until I've proven that it truly does indeed suck. On that note, NO ONE should EVER watch the anime called Daphne in the Brilliant Blue. It's $120 I'll never in my life get back. It makes me a sad panda.
