LP Goddess and Studio
To my surprise, I played a couple LP models recently, one was the discontinued Goddess and one was a white Studio. I was actually pretty impressed on how they performed.
I first played the Goddess at NAMM, I wasn't really impressed by them at the time. But having played it through a good amp, it was actually pretty cool and easy guitar to play. What do you guys recommend as far as where to look for discontinued LP models? (other than the obvious, like Ebay and used guitar shops) The white Studio was also owned by a student of mine, the neck was a little bit thick on the radius, but plays really well with a nice thick mids, definitely a Paul. For the price, it's a great guitar. What are some of your favorite Studio models? T. |

Re: LP Goddess and Studio
Those Studio Necks must be the same as R8 necks. They are so god damn thick! (Never played an R8 but Ive seen pics of the neck and they have to be the same!)

Re: LP Goddess and Studio
The only Studios Ive really liked are the eraly models...not to say the later ones arent as good or even better but the couple newer studios I have played fell a little short compared to those older ones.

Re: LP Goddess and Studio
The store here in Medicine Hat, AB has a Goddess and thats where I bought my studio. Both play quite well. And yah, I noticed that my neck on the studio is bloody thick (Compared to my les paul rip off from Jay Turser I have that must be copied from an R9).

I prefer a flatter radius, that's why the Goddess felt pretty good. T. |

Re: LP Goddess and Studio
The store is United Conservatory of Music but I will go down and check out the goddess this week as I am in need of some stuff for my guitars anyways. Its always bad timing to get their since they close right after I finish work so if traffic is bad I never get there.
But I will let ya know!

I personally love the Violet Burst, suppose to be a "chick-geetar" but I'd sling it any day of the week |
