joe bonamassa studio vs studio deluxe 50's

I am GAS'ng for a new axe, and ive narrowed it down to the 2. Now of course i know it comes down to which one i like and plays the best, however ive played a 50's deluxe and i like it, but ive never played the JB studio. Anybody have experience that has played both? The jb seems to appeal to me more but then again ive never played it.

I have played both and I ended up with the 50s Deluxe.I really like the burst on this one and the pickup combination, but I liked the neck better on this particular deluxe.I honestly dont think you could go wrong with either.I really dig the 490r bb pro pickups.

what was the difference in the bb3 and bbpro? Which is hotter? Mine will be mostly a blues/rock guitar. I never get that heavy so i dont need the hottest pickup around

I've played both & I like the JB Studio better than the Deluxe. Both are very nice, but the JB just felt better in my hands. I like the neck better as it was a touch bigger than the Deluxe which was somewhere between a 60's and a 50's neck. Now that I think about it, I don't know if I was checking out the 50's or 60's version of the deluxe though.

I like the BB2/3 combo just a touch more than the BB Pro too. Both are very nice, but the BB2/3 just sounded thicker and a touch more "bluesier" than the Pro set.

Last was the weight... the JB Studio was just a bit heavier than the deluxe. Both are supposed to be weight relieved instead of chambered, but the JB was definitely heavier.

I have a JB and it's fantastic. Unfortunately, I have not played the Deluxe.
