The neck, the neck, the neck..........

I would love an R7 GT but the neck is HUGE.

The necks on Slash sigs are great. If they come out with a CS, I will definitely get one.

My Slash VOS is a great guitar. I would love a Slash CS GT with a long tenon.

A CS wouldn't be weight relieved. They're solid.

And there is no comparison between a CS and a USA Standard.

Re: Gibson Slash Goldtop

When I think of Signature Series from any Guitarist.I think of the one they used to early in there career.Angus's SG,Malcolm's Gretsch,Billys Aged 59' (would be sweet if they would)Little cartoon guy in the head and Slashes mid' 80's Standard he has out.I do love that Tobacco Burst even if it didn't have his Sign..

Re: Gibson Slash Goldtop

So I'm one of the 1600 who own a Vintage Burst Slash LP and if I buy a Goldtop I'd be one of 1000? Cool marketing Gibson but it WON'T WORK.

(at least not now...)

Re: Gibson Slash Goldtop

Whats WV?

Sigh, Im so sick of GAS. GAS needs to go die in a hole. Now I want a Goldtop. I never liked em before. A Traditional GT could have a few tweaks and it would be great! One of Slash's would be nice but I bet it will be overpriced like the first one ($6,000 Aussie, and thats a USA line one, I can get a R8 for that, what bullshit)

Re: Gibson Slash Goldtop

Doesnt affect me one bit.

Ive had long time Gold Top GAS, that hasnt changed... But I sure wouldnt spend the extra flow to own a SLASH gold top. Would I think its cool that he digs the same guitar I do? Sure, but no more than anybody else.

And I wouldnt pay for the signature.

Gibson, if you want my money... try bringing Gibson prices back into a lower orbit. I bet people would buy more than you give them credit for.

Because everything is overpriced here and only a few make it here. The shop I bought my guitar from still has one of those you have, and maybe a CS. They dont sell alot of guitars, maybe one day I'll buy it off them. Currently $5,999..which is bullshit.

While Ill disagree with pretty much everything you said (no biggie to each his own ) Have you tried buying a new paul lately? Hell most models you have to wait for them to make the damn things lol. I dont think theyre having any trouble moving guitars....

NO kidding. I went over to try a few of the new standards the other day...and the 4 they had were gone. And this was a smaller GC that doesnt move a ton of high end product. Swinging by another GC today to see if the axcess made it there yet. I wanted one of those back in january, but since then got an R9, JB and a baker B3, so it may have to wait.
