Had to contribute

Well, this weekend my wife and went away, and while away we stopped and got ice cream. There was a tip jar there, and it had wish lists for the workers there on how they would spend there tip money. One of the workers was saving tip money for a Les Paul. Had to help his cause.

Re: Had to contribute

I had a "good guy" moment yesterday. I'm downtown and a guy and his girl walk in as I'm in line. I could tell that they were homeless by the way that they set their bags down at the door. The guy carries a can of Mountain Dew up to the counter and asls the girl how much it was. She answered $1.09 and he puts it back. They walk out, then back in (it was hot as hell) so after I paid for my water, I went to the back of the store wher they stood staring at the cold drinks, and handed him the $3 change that I got. I said, "hey buddy, I think you dropped this at the door". He almost cried.

I always think about that stuff. It would be amazing to have enough money to just throw them like 500 bucks or something sometime.

That's very cool.
Love the way you offered it to him without making him feel like it some sort of "handout" (even though it really was).

Very classy.

Throw them .05, .50, 1. Better yet, a bottle of v8 (hot & spicy, one full vegetable serving for a person who is not malnourished!).

Just don't be wearing a t-shirt that looks like your signature. The broadcast insults wear thin, and may lead down a path you don't want to be on.
