Question Favorite Guitar of the Week ?

Hey ya'll :wave

What's your favorite Gibson Guitar of the Week?

Post pics too if you have any

Mine's most likely the Les Paul Supreme Autumn Burst from week 9 (but then again, i'd take ANY of them ANY DAY )

the gold grovers, the brass TRC, the naked neck, the white binding, the gold hardware, the AAA flame maple, and the awesome finish

Re: Favorite Guitar of the Week ?

BTW: It's hard to see, but the LP Supreme Autumnburst has a Figured Ebony Fingerboard. Thus the reason why there are no fret markers.

Wait until you see the next 12 Guitars of the week. It looks like they are going out with a bang.

Silverbust fans will be happy too.

Re: Favorite Guitar of the Week ?

I am new to this forum as I just bought my very first Les Paul last week!

It is my favorite. You have the picture here. Guitar of the week #14!
The coil taps and the H-90s give a tone that is wonderful! I love it.

I have always played Strats, numerous PRS models, and teles, but when I played this instrument. It made a wonderful difference!!! All the guys I play with say I should have never played any other guitar. I am starting to believe them....

Thanks everyone. This has to be my new home away from home.

I actually have to thank everyone here at the forum for guiding me to the guitar. It was a GOTW thread here that made me pick it up.

Re: Favorite Guitar of the Week ?

Some of what's coming: Silverburst Flying V, Explorer with EMG's, a proper SG special re-issue, a few new Classic Customs that might make you drool.

...and a certain guitar model from the 70's is back, in Silverburst.

i had a feeling the Silverburst Flying V was eventually gonna become a reality.. i mean, if they did it for the new centuries, then the silverburst was bound to have the same done.. .. maybe since there's already a Zakk Wylde Bullseye LP and FV, maybe there oughta be a Bullseye SG?

nice! can't wait! .. i'm sure the Classic Customs are gonna be awesome.. they ALWAYS are..

Both VERY cool, but I'm leaning toward the Week 8 Antique Deluxe Goldtop with AlNiCo II mini humbuckers.

Click on it anyway, the file is there.....

I like them.
Not as shrill and thin as a Firebird, just a smaller humbucker sound to me.

just wondering (since i'm never really OUT there to be able to check it and find out for myself ) ..

what do you mean by a "smaller humbucker" sound? .. sounds like a negative connotation to me..

Re: Favorite Guitar of the Week ?

I dunno, just not as strong or loud.

After I was playing it awhile, that was the best descripition I could think of.
Humbucker tone, just not as rude until the volume was wide open. Lotsa bite then.

Not good or bad, just different.

Ok, how about something other than a Les Paul?

These are really kickass guitars. Explorer Pro Mahogany, Week #13.

Re: Favorite Guitar of the Week ?

I've grown very fond of Mahogany over the years.
Not as eye-catching as flame maple, but really, really nice.

Re: Favorite Guitar of the Week ?

Favorite guitar of the week eh? Hmmm ... well after a bit of consideration. I have to admit that... mine is the favorite. Week # 27 I have had it about a week now. The band and our recorder likes it, and I am starting to fall in love with it. It has a great sound, so big and warm , nice bottom end and a very full tone. Not to mention that it is just a pretty instrument.

Mahogany is just got to be one of the coolest woods. Its grain is unique.
Of course there is no explaining taste. But I am happy to be able to play this one. I can get it to growl and snarl as well get very nice cleans. Great sustain to boot.
