Hi,everybody!.....just wanted to say that i,as of today, am the proud papa of a 2007 cherryburst Les Paul Standard......!!!!!!!

.....i ACTUALLY thought i'd be announcing this in Boleskines' "Darkbursts Unite!" thread.....BUT......they were having a "big blowout" sale @ Guitar Splinter on the remaining 2007standards....and there were no "darkbursts" from 2007....and since i like cherrybursts and darkbursts almost equally...THERE YA GO!.....lol...i was waiting on a Gretsch Malcolm Young model that they "special ordered"....it was going on the 8th week....still no word from anybody according to the monkey at Guitar Splinter(where i also got 5% MORE off the Paul since a BRAND NEW GUITAR HAD BUCKLE RASH!!>>>*@$&+$*%...but thats another thread)...so i poo-poo'ed the Gretsch..and unfortunately had to go and trade in my '52 Tele re-issue...BUT, i got my 'Burst!....pictures to come.....i'm sitting here @ work at the moment.....so i will post 'em!!

God damn, the Cherry flame tops are getting better and better! Still, the darker reds with the massive flame would be my pick of the bunch. Bluemoons is god.

The funny thing is that I don't actually like Cherry Sunburst

. But this trio kicks some major behind. It's actually a problem that I can't enjoy many other guitars anymore.

Finally going to add pics of a few of mine. There's no doubt that Heritage Cherry Sunburst is my absolute favorite color, to me it's just what an LP should look like. I still have vivid images of Ace with his LP fresh in my head from when I was a young impressionable kid in the 70's. All 3 of the LP's I currently own are HCS (I do own other brand / non-lp guitars however).

Here's a pic of my Ace Custom shop, when I saw this guitar, with this top, I almost came to tears. This is absolutely the pride of my collection and gives me a feeling like no other guitar when I plug her in to play. I'll sometimes put it in my living room on it's stand and just glance at it all night long, lol!!

: Disregard the missing E string, she's going in for a fresh setup this week:

Here's my 2008 Standard (with all the new features) that everyone seems to bash, she has been my workhorse and I love the way she plays. This top was hand-picked by myself and was the best out of 5 that it was compared to.

2007 Gibson Les Paul Classic Antique - Heritage Cherry Sunburst.

Some angles show no flames, makes it like a plain top, some angles show much flame which makes it unique.
