Delivered today, brand new. Flawless! My first Gibson and I can tell you the quality is leaps and bounds better than the Epiphone Standard. I love my Epi but the Gibby is by far better made hands down. And sounds great!
I took a few quick pics of it to share! I'll need to take some non-flash outdoor pics and post them.

I'll post mine soon, as soon as I get some better pics of my 2008 standard...
On a side note, I have a friend that has a Standard HCSB that's a few years old, and the top on it is just VERY PLAIN (no flame), prob. the plainest I've ever seen. A few months ago he had it at a gig and the lights were really low, and in the low lighting the flame really came out and actually looked pretty cool. I almost thought that he had bought a new guitar, lol... Anyone else seen this? Now I know that the angle can mean a lot as far as how the flame shows, as I now own 3 HCSB, but I've never seen one just come to life in low light like that.... |
