I don't think so. As far as I know, a "clownburst" is bright cherry red on the edges, bright yellow in the middle, and a more definite line where the red stops. Looks like clown makeup - kinda like my '77 Deluxe shown here (on the left). The one on the right is a '74, and it's a bit more subtle, both in colours and in the way the red fades to yellow.

I could be wrong though...

I love cherry bursts except for the custom cherryburst don't care for the black pickgaurd or speed knobs SORRY FOR THE OTHER BUT ITS THE ONLY PIC I HAD OF MY CHERRY BURST
