Still looking.. may have found one!

Can anyone tell me if spending 1170 GBP on this is a cool idea?

ImageShack Album - 6 images

I am not looking for the greatest steal ever, jsut someting that I can polish up, take apart and make it a but 'newer' .

Thoughts on name of finish and price

Cheers

That is a steal and I would buy it right now!
Did it suffer a headstock break?

Re: Still looking.. may have found one!

The color is called pacific reef.
Most likely a 2004 or 2005.
I noticed it's 1170GBP.
I was referring to $1170USD being a steal.
That would be $1880 here in the states, which isn't a deal.
But you know what they say... If it plays great, then its worth it!

Still worth it? I mean, I like the look of it, but I may in the next few years have to go to uni, so resale is importaint to me!

used markets vary by region. here in the states they can go for a few hundred less. i can't say for your side of the pond. supply/demand etc.

i had an 05 "custom classic" for a while, it was a nice guitar. i believe that is the model you are looking at.

the first and fifth digit of the serial number should tell you the date

Re: Still looking.. may have found one!

I think I may pull hte trigger; as long as the neck is a 60s one then I am happy.

They are a little more pricey over the blue because of import that clobbers us!

EDIT: Will a Graph Tech ResoMax NV2 fit it? I want acoustic stuff on it, for my ska, and already have one of these, so it would be handy!
