Re: Some pics for your enjoyment
Thanks.
The ultima is definatley somthin else to look at, still growin on me sound wise. Still gettin used to the neck a bit, has 50's and not that keen on the thicker neck. Use them with JVM 410h 100w head, 1960a cab, good combo, all have unique sounds to them, toss up with fave between page and slash. cheers. |

Re: Some pics for your enjoyment
Thanks people for the great comments.
As I said the ultima is def great to look at athough not even close to the two others sound wise in my opinion, I have a few other guitars, prs, taylor etc I think the ultima comes somewhere in between. The marshall certainly are a great amp, very versitile. The only thing I find with them is that one sounds very much like another. I have been seriously thinking about purchasing a ulbrick amplifier. Not sure how many of you guys have heard of them, they are made here in Australia, hand wired boutique sort of amp with very good reports etc. Just like the odd things or one offs, as you can tell. Any how thanks for the comments and just to say, I am really enjoying the forum have learned heaps in a short amount of time. Matt. |

Re: Some pics for your enjoyment
Wouldn't say inferior just doesn't have that special something, that sound that brings a smile to your face as soon as you strike the first cord, i'm sure you know what I mean. Don't want to come off as a guitar snob, lol, still an incredible guitar.
It has that kind of prs feel about it, where it plays so smooth and clean that it just lacks that raw feel a little which makes all Gibsons in my opinion just stand out from the rest. |
