Re: Help Compare Les Pauls Please!
I think down the road if you ever decide to sell for some reason, the Trad Plus will fetch you more bucks than a Classic. (IMHO of course.)

Re: Help Compare Les Pauls Please!
Aren't they really more or less the same generally speaking (Classics maybe had 60's slim necks perhaps?)? Both sought to embody the "original" (ie read "Classic LP" or "Traditional LP ") style of LP (without going as far as a CS RI of course) and steer away from the evolving Standard LP which has more modern aspects to it.

Re: Help Compare Les Pauls Please!
To determine which one of those two is the better player for you, you have to try them both out.
If both guitars are stock and the Trad is in an all-round good condition, it would be my choice cause of the neck profile, the inlays and the '57 Classic pickups. But that's just my own personal taste and preference.

Re: Help Compare Les Pauls Please!
They have the same construction, wood, finish, etc. so not much there.
Main differences are classic has hot hot pickups and slim neck. Traditional has more vintage pickups and a fatter neck. So the question is: do you like hot or vintage pickups and fat or slim necks? Answer that and you have your answer. |
