New Traditional
Came home and saw the Gibson box on the porch. Opened her up to see a brand new LP Traditional in honeyburst. Really nice guitar! Very resonant, set up excellently, fit and finish was better than most Gibsons I've seen. Beautiful honey burst over subtle flame. My guess is that she weighs about 9lbs. The 57 classics are a little weaker than I like but sound really nice. They seem to compliment the tone of the guitar instead of dictate it. Props to Paul at sweetwater for excellent service. Did I mention what a nice guitar it was!

Re: New Traditional
It came fedex. I told them to leave it there as I would be home around the time it arrived. For me to pick it up is over an hour drive and waiting for them is hit or miss.

Re: New Traditional
Just spent some time playing through medium and high gain tunes and the 57 classics may stay. There's just enough meat to get good drive tones and there is good clarity without being too bright. They seem pretty smooth. The guitar plays so well and stays in tune very well also. I really like the nice dark board on this as well. I have a gig tonight and I'm almost afraid to take her out she's so sweet looking. My gig tonight is at a horribly smokey rock club.

Re: New Traditional
The only thing I would change is I prefer the look of the vintage style knobs and though the volume taper is nice and smooth, I wish it cleaned up nicely like my PRS does. Any suggestions?

Re: New Traditional
OH MY!!! What a beautiful axe!!! Looks just like my 06!! I played a couple at GC yesterday, and the fit and finish and overall feel of the guitar was excellent. One of the two that I played wasn't staying in tune that great, but no biggie. AWESOME guitars. Both that I saw had darker boards as well. almost looked like ebony.
