There's nothing wrong with Studios. I tried out LPs for 3 years before I found one that I liked, and it just happened to be a Studio, so I bought it. Also, since the neck isn't bound, the fretwork is usually 100% better than on their bound necks.

nobody knows this guy but Pat McManaman from Chiodos uses a les paul studio and Jason Hale from chiodos uses some kind of les paul but i dont know what it is. ( I know he has a fireburst, but he also has another one that has dot markers) side fact Jason was interviewed by Gibson as a player of the month or whatever they have.

Agreed, Ray Toro is an amazing guitarist. Lesser guitarist have recieved 'Signature' models from gibson. He is definelty one of my Modern 'guitar heros' . I think Ray uses an Ebony Standard as his number 1 and a Custom as his number two. Frank Iero uses the white studio.

Guitarist in The Reason uses a Vintage Mahogany. As seen in This is just the beginning video.

Well, I kinda took it the name gave it away "Studio" = to be used in the studio, not on stage. Now that the question has been asked, I dont recall seeing any concerts, etc. where anyone used a studio? go figure?

steve clarke from def leppard played them from time to time, i think madonna "played?" one at a show or 2, and i have seen loads of them on the vans warped tour a few years ago.

I saw a guy in a local band playing one on stage last year as they were opening for Queensryche. Sounded freaking great!

You don't see many of them being played out, because they're no frills guitars..... but they have all the necessary ingredients for awesome tone.

I suspect that we've heard way more of them on recordings than we think we have, but they're not normally stage guitars.

The guitarist from Tom Petty and the Hearbreakers he plays a Studio Standard. The Guitarist from Kischasey plays a Studio (Australian band), one of the guitarist from Rose Tattoo (Aust band) played a studio from time to time. Tonic's guitarist played a Studio Gem when they came out in 96-97. And I am sure there are thousand of CDs that Studio's have been used on. People tend to want to be seen with a full fledge Les Paul with binding like the Classic, Standard or a Custom when playing live, but I tell you, most Les Paul lovers will have a nice studio or studio variation in their collection..
