Building Les Paul Deluxe?

I've always been in love with Townshend's #5 Les Paul Deluxe and recently found some more information on it so I was thinking about building it myself. This would be my first time building a guitar so I was wondering if anyone has any tips, concerns, objections etc. I'd love to hear any feedback

Re: Building Les Paul Deluxe?

I would look into buying some pre-done components to reudce the risk of a bad guitar coming out of the effort. You can buy pre-slotted fingerboards with the scale you want for instance.
