Thinking of selling
Hi all, thinking of selling my Les Paul.
Only problem is, I can't find another one, anywhere, to base my price on. Any ideas?? Les Paul Studio Plus 2004 ![]() ![]()

Re: Thinking of selling
Compare eBay prices would be my only guess.... That is a nice top...
And this one seems a bit high, in my opinion... But I was never a big fan of the Studios... http://cgi.ebay.com/Gibson-Les-Paul-...item3f038f153b

Re: Thinking of selling
I've seen a couple studio pluses with similar grain in the tops on ebay, going for around $1000. Those were supposed to be in VG condition, if that helps.

Re: Thinking of selling
In the UK, taking in to account the new price of £999, I think you can expect between £500 & £650.
I have been thinking of selling my Studio Worn Brown, but after seeing some advertised at £500 on eBay with no bids. My local Gibson shop said the trade price was only £250 ![]() She is still worth the £700 I paid new to me and I would not even consider selling for less than £500. So she will be staying with me for the foreseeable future Good luck. I hope you get a good price or continue to enjoy it for a few more years

Re: Thinking of selling
Hmm, its a nice flame top, condition seems ok. Clean her up, take good pictures of that flame top, and you should sell her for about $900-1000

Re: Thinking of selling
Thanks for all the comments guys.
Uk Gibbo market is crap at minute, £500-£600 seems about right from what I see for standard studios, just hoped it might be worth a bit more with the plus top?? I paid £550 a couple of years ago but it does have high sentimental value, so I think I would have to see if prices rise with the limited availability of new Gibsons in Uk, before reconsidering. Just strapped for cash at minute. Love the worn brown by the way. Was looking at those when I bought mine....NICE!! Oh! and ta for the offer.....I think I'll pass at the moment

Re: Thinking of selling
You could put it on ebay with a low starting price and set a reserve price that you're willing to accept. Personally unless I was seriously in need of money I'd keep the guitar; it's got sentimental value to you and you could end up regretting selling it if all that was needed was to tough it out for a couple of weeks until pay day. On the other hand, if it's the difference between paying the rent or getting evicted then it would be a worthy sacrifice.

Re: Thinking of selling
Don't forget to include ship[ping, insurance, paypal fees and ebay fees those are getting more expensive all the time, this would be on top of what you're looking to get for the LP. I picked one up at a local Mom and Pop store for 700.00 with an ebony board. But unless you're in dire straights I'd find some way of holding on to her. Good Luck either way.
