Guitar Rising- video game with REAL guitars!
All you video game heads or people with kids, you gotta check this out if you haven't heard of it. It's like Guitar Hero only you use REAL guitars. You can use your own LP!

A really cool idea! I always thought that guitar hero crap sends kids in the wrong direction.. Not in the same way as an eight year old playing Grand Theft Auto, but you guys know what I mean!

To those that don't play GH definately sways them in the wrong direction. It makes guitar-playing look easy to master (which isn't) and gives them no motivation what-so-ever to try and learn the real guitar. At least that's what it does to the mainstream. To those that do play the guitar, that's another thing. I love it [GH] and love playing my guitar. To me GH is an excuse to listen and 'play' music all the time. Even when I'm playing videogames! |

Now that looks like what GH should have been all along, i really hope this thing takes off . its a real guitar learning real techniques . i think its an amazing idea as well, , use your own guitats so you have something comfortable to use and get used too, not some plastic childs toy. i cant wait till it comes out,

I will buy this as soon as it hits the shelf.
my son 12 years old (who plays an LP Studio) keeps bugging me to get Rock Star, or, whichever one it is he can play on his 360. I refuse! you got an LP & Amp. I'm not buying plastic gear. This will make he and his little homies sooo competitive as far as who gets better faster.  to whomever created this game!

actually,to think about it.so many people will play guitar,i wont matter if you know how to play.guitar is to popular for teen boys today.the people who play and dont actually care should pack up and call it a day.

This looks very interesting... I work in the games development industry and have often thought about the possibility of a guitar hero style game but with real guitars, and now it's being done... good luck to them, I'll be checking it out for sure.

but the irony is, gibson is behind the whole guitar hero franchise. Btw that game seems interesting, but its been advertised for a while without much updates, i hope they are gonna release it sometime.
