Ace fans, w/pics

I worked on a commercial a few years ago that Ace was in (can't remember the product). We weren't supposed to take any photos but I managed to snap a few and figured I'd share them with you guy's. Yes that's Zach Braff he was the director. Enjoy!

Dunkin' Donuts commercial.............

I thought it was odd that Ace in makeup was their choice for the commercial...... had no correlation to the product to me.

Ace was one of my early influences when I was a kid in the 70's.

Re: Ace fans, w/pics

Funny, I was always into Ace because I thought he had the coolest makeup/costume. Now I "get" what he means to rock guitar, years later.

Re: Ace fans, w/pics

Yup, thats the commercial, he doesn't look very young without the makeup. The cougar is just an extra.

Re: Ace fans, w/pics

KISS can stay young forever with the makeup. That was probably part of Gene's marketing plan from day one.

Re: Ace fans, w/pics

When I was a kid in the late 70's early 80's I was into Motorhead and punk (ramones , Pistols etc) and thought that Kiss were a bit lightweight and more or less ignored them as they didn't get great coverage/airplay in the uk anyway. Discovering them retrospectively a few years later changed my opinion massively and was/is hugely enjoyable. I have since spent massive amount of time watching and listening to everything they have done (almost) and now understand what a huge influence they were, especially Ace.
