Re: Murder, Arson and Stolen Guitars

Really sorry to hear this news, I just came across this CL post and remembered this thread.

did you lose a les paul or telecaster?

This person states they have come across two guitars which the individual believes may have been stolen. It's in Emeryville, but maybe, I dunno it's long shot but anything is possible.

Re: Murder, Arson and Stolen Guitars

I am sorry for your loss. The instruments are one thing, but the loss of life for the family and folks like you is unimaginable. My deepest sympathy. If there is anything I can do, I will.

Best

My condolences, and a quick thought for the other posters.
Before you post up on "condolence" threads you might want to edit your sig so it doesnt show jokey images or crass sayings. I know its hard to keep track of everything you post on, but Im just saying. It kinda lends insincerity to what is obviously a serious thread.

Sincere condolences. that's sick that a life is loss over a senseless robbery.

Re: Murder, Arson and Stolen Guitars

Do not.. under any circumstances, buy an ORIGINAL FALCON FOR A CRANK BAIT ROD..

not unless you don't want any feel. or you don't want to catch fish.. then its the perfect rod.

oh, and Falcon is supposed to be monitoring this site.. and they have yet to make the money I spent on "good quality rods" right with me..

Get good service and you tell 5 people.. get bad service and you tell 50 people.. and I am working on a much higher percentage with Falcon.. if you are breathing and want to buy a rod.. I am telling you why not to buy their products..

Re: Murder, Arson and Stolen Guitars

Sounds like a targeted robbery and premeditated murder. Someone that knew the victim and what was there to steal. Absolutely horrible. You never know what crackhead might be lurking around nearby.

God needed someone to rock the heavens, You're friend is in a better place where amps stack to the stairway to heaven and unlike a wal-mart door greeter, you're friend is there to greet people by playing the Best Licks in the universe.

Not to mention, I bet he's with Les right now.

Re: Murder, Arson and Stolen Guitars

I actually live near Sacramento, and I'm watching Fox 40 News (Out of Sacramento) this morning, and I believe they just said they made an arrest in the case? I was out of the room for part of it, but turned the volume up when they mentioned Stolen Instruments and mentioned the house being burned down. I'm going to look up miore info on it and see if that is indeed what happened.

Hopefully whomever was responsible for this is in custody and will be punished.

Re: Murder, Arson and Stolen Guitars

Because of a tip or tips provided by you, two low-life scumbags have been charged in the murder of my friend. These guys tried to sell you some gear, and you called it in!

Sacramento Police Department News Release 20090917-200: Murder Solved After Smoke Clears

Thank you for your condolences, but most importantly for keeping an eye out for my friends stuff. While this case still has a long road ahead, at least the bad guys are behind bars. I don’t know if some or all of his gear was recovered (as that’s part of the investigation), so all I ask is that if you should locate any of his stuff, please contact me or the Sacramento Police.

Thanks, Friends!

Derek

Good to hear that they finally caught those bastards.
I hope that all of the gear was, or will be, recovered.

Good news about the arrest. Any more information on these people and how this whole tragedy came to be? Was it nothing more than a random burglary gone wrong or might they have planned the whole thing ahead of time?

Re: Murder, Arson and Stolen Guitars

Stupid methmouth motherf@#$%%. I hope they burn in hell, but in the meantime some hot curling irons for hair would be suitable left up their asses for a couple of days. I wish some "good ol boys" caught them first to receive some real justice.

Sorry for your loss, this topic has me so pissed. A family is left without their loved one for some furkin crank, such a waste. This is the sort of thing that makes me wanna check out of society, go vigilante and get medieval just to balance things out a bit.

Again, sorry for yours and the family's loss and I'm glad you will feel some closure.

I'm glad that they caught the perps. Thievery is bad enough, but taking a life to satisfy an addiction is pathetic, and they deserve the same.
