Search .... The MLP search engine while not perfect is a very good tool to find topics that have already been discussed on the forum !!! The MLP search function does not work with 3 letter words ! I know this is a bother especially when searching something like a PAF ! But if you keep your terms to 4 letter words and up you'll find lots of returns ! Most search results will be in chronological order ! So a thread you may be looking for might be very relevant to the search you typed it may be far back in the results due to that fact it was posted long ago !! SEARCH away MLP !!

Bobbo, I have a couple of questions as I'm a newbie to forumland.

I'm a really slow composer when it comes to starting a thread or making a reply, a bit AR when it comes to what I want to say, don't want to upset anyone!! So it seems you get logged off after a time of no activity, any way to stop this or is it a case of working offline and cut & paste?

Also are the smilies in reply to thread drag and drop or is there some voodoo I must perform?? Of course these things are not critical to my MLP experience, just wondering.

Hey Rick....

I've never been looged out due to inactivity !!! As for the smiles all you have to do is click on them and they will appear in your post when you submit it !!! EZ !!! Welcome to MLP !!!

MLP now has Social groups !!! These groups can be started by members who are interested in a particular subject !! These rooms can be made public, meaning open to all .. or can be made as invitation only rooms , So you can just invite your friends to join in your discussions !!! You can find acess to these rooms in the Quick Links at the top right side of the MLP window !!!

Hey...

You need to adjust your forum preferences so that you SUBSCRIBE to a thread !!! That way everytime someone posts something new in it ! It will be highlighted for you !!! ...... Your preferences are in your User CP !!!

Did you know that there are many different ways to filter the threads here on MLP !!! You can click on New Posts , To see only the most recent additions !!! As well as many tools to find the subjects your looking for !!!

Posting pictures on MLP .. In order to post pics on MLP you should use a photo hosting site such as Photobucket.com or Shutterfly.com , Store your pictures in albums on those sites and when your ready to post them just copy the web address or URL of the photo using control C , Then in the reply window click the yellow box with the mountain in it , Backspace the http/ away and then hit control V to paste the web URL into the grey box provided , Click OK after the image URL is visible in the box , Then your image is in your post ! When you submit the post the pic will be in it !!

Ignore feature ... Hey MLP'ers , Did you know our beloved site has an ignore feature ? If there is a particular member who's posts or actions you find annoying or objectionable , Just click on your user CP located at the top left of the web page , You'll find a control toward the bottom left in your user CP to edit your ignore list ! Just add the members name your looking to ignore and click add to the list ! You will no longer see their posts on the forum nor will they be able to send you private messages !!!

I believe it only takes 50 posts to get you from Junior to Senior member here at MLP ... Junior members can't use the PM function till they're over 50 post's !!! If you mean thank them for a useful thread , It's at the bottom right of the first post in that thread !!! It's a lil thumbs up ... Just click it !!!

When a thread isn't posted in much it falls down the list of threads in that section ... When somebody posts a BUMP in it ... They are just bumping it back up to the top of the section !!!

I know there are ways of resizing the image to suit your needs ... But honestly it's a good size now ... I hate when people have HUGE signatures !!!
