Re: The MLP community video blog.

Thanks Paul,
That was really helpful..
Whether or not the loonies ever try and go ahead with this crackpot idea or not, we now have some great ammunition lined up, as musos in England have been signing by the thousands this past week.
It is so important that we continue our heritage of rock music over here as all these clubs and pubs are places that everyone you could possibly want to name on the UK rock scene of the past have cut their teeth on over the decades and which is still so important for up and coming young musicians of the future to do their apprenticeship and gain experience.

Thanks for putting in the time and effort and I'm sure many Brits will appreciate you giving your time for a good cause as I certainly have done..

Keep up the good work with the blog.. I'll certainly try and come up with a few ideas.

Hey!..You never did tell me the Fiesta red Strat and Vox combination story....You wouldn't be a Shadows fan by any chance?..

Phil.

Well I suppose more the better, but I assume many people weren't aware of the deadline on these things. And then of course there are all the grey area people, who do a gig once every six months and sit on their laurels saying.. Nahhh! This will never happen..

The story of our country I'm afraid..." Nah it will never happen".

Still I am really pleased that everyone managed to bump it up from a few thousand not long ago to 85,474 in such a short time..

A big round of applause for Warren James of Musician I say..

Paul. You should have the englun minute. a one minute section of your blog where you talk about the hilarity goings on of this place. it would bring a lot of some of the jack ass hilarious things said here to life.... Also, you could invite bole over to drag his ass across the carpet for the segment as well!

BTW...I wonder why they call them single ply guards when they're not laminated, they're just one piece? Just a thought...m

Correct Mike I have seen it. Bruce owns it now and my old mate Phil Kelly plays in a band with Bruce called Shadowmania.
It was re-rinished some years back, but God only knows who mixed the colours, coz it looks more purple than fiesta red these days..
Phil had his Strat matched to Bruces ( Hank Strat ) and showed it to me a year or so back.. He opened the case and I said.."What the hell is that colour supposed to be, It's bloody purple Phil?".. He said " I know, but it was excactly matched to the re finished original..
The weirdest fiesta red I have ever seen..

In fact here is Hanks 59 Strat. In the vid it doesn't look too bad, but in natural light it sure looks purple to me..Watch the vid and see why all us old fart Brits are so taken with fiesta red Strats.
In fact the one in the pic I posted above was re-finished for me.. The paint used was original 1956 Ford Thunderbird red. The original fiesta red used on vintage Strats. I got the paint codes from Dupont in the USA and it's finished in original Dupont paint.

You should send pics and info to George Fullerton and see what HE says. I think he'd be interested. BTW...of all the custom red colors, my favorite is Fiesta, followed by Dakota...Thanks for all the info Phil...much appreciated...Mike
