Howto: use photobucket to post photos
Sign up for a photobucket account here: Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket
After you login you will be in your Public album Make any number of sub-albums called whatever you like for example: "guitars" or "My Original 1959 Les Paul", mark it as public If you like, add a Custom URL for this album and click save ![]() ![]() You now have an album that is public. Let's upload some pics! Click on your new sub-album and then click upload photos. ![]() ![]() If you already have some photos in your album then click Album Options -> Upload Photos to upload more photos ![]() Now to post a photo it is very easy but there is a little juggling of the two web pages. In photobucket HOVER over the picture you want to post and click on the box that says Direct link it will briefly flash the word copied. It is now ready to paste into MLP Forum. ![]() In another browser tab, Log into MLP Forums and edit your post. Move the cursor to where you want your picture inserted. Click on the insert image icon and a URL box will popup. ![]() Delete everything in the box and paste the link you just copied from photobucket. ![]() You should see your picture right after you click OK Want more than one photo? Repeat the steps above for each new picture. Looking forward to seeing all your guitar pics!

Re: Howto: use photobucket to post photos
Yes there are a variety of ways to do it!
From the Photobucket support pages - Here is an overview of the linking options offered: Email & IM: Use this to share your content via email or IM. Users can click the link or copy and paste it to a browser to view the image on photobucket.com. Direct link: This is the actual web location where the image lives. Use it if you're on a site that asks you to insert an image from a web URL. You can also use it to create linked text. *** Note! If a forum or blog asks you to use a direct link to embed your photo, the photo may or may not display at full size, depending on the forum and its posting guidelines. Some forums resize images automatically! *** HTML code: Great for embedding a photo or video on websites like MySpace, Hi5, Blogger, eBay, Craigslist and more! Your media will display at full size on the page you create. HTML thumb: Use this to embed a thumbnail version of your photo (160 x 120 pixels) instead of at full size. IMG code: Use this to embed your photo or video on bulletin boards and forums that do not allow you to input HTML coding. Your media will display at full size on the page you create. IMG thumb: Just like the IMG code, except a thumbnail version of your photo (160 x 120 pixels) will appear on the page. Finally, don't worry about linking from your private album. If you link a single image from a private album, the rest of your album stays private. |

Re: Howto: use photobucket to post photos
Thanks for all the help posting the pictures. Now please let me know what you guys think. I know the guitar is dirty but to be honest I am afraid to clean it because I dont want to do anything that could hurt the value

Re: Howto: use photobucket to post photos
You know how to post pictures now but no one will see your pics here. This thread is only a how to post pictures thread. If you could, delete your practice pics and post them to whichever thread you were wanting to ask your question. Cheers and Welcome.
