How do you "thank" a user for a post?

I searched the FAQ and this forum for the keyword "thank" but it may be too generic a term and couldn't find an answer. I see on a lot of users' stats they they have been "thanked" x number of times, so, how does one "thank" another user for a post?

Look at a fresh topic, you'll see that little hand on the bottom right.

Not knowing about the little thumb for giving thanks is understandable, but there was a thread dedicated to this very topic...em...right there at the top. See below.

Well, 'scuse me

I always use the search function lest I be one of those blasted for not using the search. If do a forum search for "thanks" it comes up empty.

Next time, I'll read through the entire list of threads.

Thank you Jomo. Didn't realize it was only there on a fresh topic. Thought it was a per post, not per topic thing.

I appreciate the help, and take care,

Yes, of course using "the search' is commendable action and every attempt should be lauded.

If you use "New Posts" (which is a function of the search) none of the stickies appear unless they have something new. In addition, vBulletin search functions have never been reliable.

Yeah, I must be missing something, because I just used my eyes and saw the other thread.
