So I went home this past weekend to get away from the craziness of school and I had to go to my local GC to get some strings so I played around a little, who doesnt? The first thing I picked up was an LP traditional Pro. I thought it was cool, but hearing a single coil sound from an LP just wasnt doing it. I played a 60's roadworn, didnt really like the worn in feel of the neck, but still, nice guitar. I picked up a shearton II, really nice, and then I picked up an American Standard strat. I had played one before this and it was great, so I thought a great thing couldnt happen twice, but it did. It was amazing, the thing I liked the most was the buffed neck, it makes it so much easier to move around on it, plus its got that great glossy look to it. It was amazing, I cant get over how great it was. Any MIA strat owners (or anybody in general) have any thoughts abou these, I think theyre great, price seems to be right too.

Re: Played some guitars yesterday
I think american strats are the beez nees. If you have the money then I think it is definitely beneficial to have a strat and an lp for ultimate tone versitility

Re: Played some guitars yesterday
Yes, I was amazed the first time I played one, but this time was great too. I liked the consistency, even though ive only played two, they both sounded great. Not hit and miss like epiphones can be like. I have an epiphone LP, I like it, but its no where near the quality of an MIA Fender.
